Mixing Your Earrings

Have you tried mixing your earrings? That should be fun.  Symmetry is instinctively our metric for beauty; we’re genetically predisposed to favor two sides that look the same. Because of this, when it comes to jewelry, picking the right kind of earrings (i.e. pearl earrings, stud earrings, diamond earrings...etc) to put on your ears turns out to be a tricky business.

With so many covetable earring designs out there, it feels like that you have to be an expert just to sort out which pair of earrings to put on. Luckily, the designers have mastered the art of the mix.  So, the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" had a spike with a dangling crystal on her left ear – interesting!

Tips for mixing earrings:
1. Wear the biggest earring
2. Always go asymmetrical
3. Never regret
coz’ you can always change it tomorrow!

The key is to find a kind of equilibrium that goes deeper than aesthetics, honing in on personal energies or what simply makes you feel in harmony with your own style. You have to play with it.  There are no rules!
