By now, I’m
sure you’ve heard of "selfies." Yes, it is a simply pictures you
take, a new type of self-portrait (uploaded & post) of yourself to a social
media website. “Selfie” is now Merriam-Webster approved. A perfect word of the year that says all we need to know
about our techno narcissism. It has
transformed into a global phenomenon.
We
take "selfies" with our friends when we are out having fun at the
clubs, lounges, gatherings... we take "selfies" when we are wearing
an eye-catchy pearl earrings, diamonds, designer jewelry, wearing a cute or
stunning outfits that you want to share with your girl friends... capturing yourself in the moment, in the
absence of someone else to take the picture for you...
I heard a friend said: It's
hard to miss you when you post a "selfie" everyday! Occasional
"selfies" are acceptable, but posting a new picture of yourself every
day isn’t necessary, it is pure unadulterated
vanity...don't you agree?
